Moeller wins third term as Dresden selectman
The Dresden municipal election on Tuesday, June 13 produced the following results: Third Selectman Allan Moeller Sr. gained a third three-year term out-polling challenger Mike Nylen, 137-91.
Town Clerk Patricia Theriault won a one-year term, beating challenger Shirley Storkson, 125-106.
Theriault said on June 14 that she plans to decline the nomination to take another job. She said she has notified the selectmen of her decision. She expected that the board would nominate Storkson.
Moeller said selectmen planned to nominate Storkson at the next convening of the board.
Storkson was elected treasurer with 213 votes. She will replace Kim Rzasa, who did not seek reelection. Property Tax Collector Ann Pierce was reelected to a one-year term with 211 votes. She ran unopposed.
The state technology bond issue passed 126-114. The Regional School Unit 2 budget passed 150-86.
