Moose sighting
Congratulations to Mark and Sue Webber on their wedding day. Beautiful bride with handsome groom, happy to see you tie the knot. Sue, your dad was smiling down on his little girl. May you have a long life together.
Saturday, the Alna Fire Department had a full house at 4:30 p.m. The folks just kept coming the line was very long; the food was great as usual, I think everyone in Lincoln County had been waiting all summer for this baked bean and ham supper. No report from Kathy, so I will say it was a success from the large turnout.
I took my son Aaron home around 8:45 p.m. after the supper. We were traveling down Pooler Road off Bradford Road when all of a sudden my grandson Andrew hollers “moose.”
He came right out in front of me running down dirt road. I followed at safe distance, Aaron kept saying don 't get too close: then as we approached his driveway “don’t turn in moose please.” The moose kept looking back to see if we were still behind him. Andrew could have patted him as he came close to car out of woods. The smart 14-year-old kept his window closed.
Man this has been busy couple of weeks for me. Weddings, birthday parties and moose chasing haha. Don’t dare say what’s next?
I am wishing Louise Jewett a happy 101st birthday this month. I know it’s in October, so send this nice lady a card. No one would guess her age from the way she moves around; she has smile on whenever I meet her.
Hope your week is interesting and love filled.
