Naked Shakespeare to perform at Victoria Mansion

    Victoria Mansion and Acorn Productions are pleased to announce a fabulous evening of entertainment: Shakespeare's Garden of Verse at Victoria Mansion on Friday, Aug. 18 at 5:30 p.m. This presentation by Naked Shakespeare will feature enchanting excerpts from some of Shakespeare's best known plays performed in the rooms of one of Portland's greatest treasures.

    This benefit performance will bring the Mansion to life with in the 19th century tradition of parlor plays (plus library plays, and bedroom plays) and will feature six scenes from “Romeo & Juliet,” “As You Like It,” “Twelfth Night,” “A Winter's Tale,” “Love's Labor's Lost,” and “A Midsummer's Night Dream,” a wandering musician, and more!  Beer, wine, and light fare are included.

    Audience members will be free to move about the mansion as they choose, selecting which rooms they wish to visit and the order in which they wish to visit them.
