NASA Shuttle launch comes to The Lincoln Home
The Lincoln Home welcomes the public to join Ed Polewarczyk, Monday, April 18, from 3 to 4 p.m., to learn about a typical Space Shuttle launch and orbit at NASA. Ed’s presentation will include astronauts’ experiences and activities throughout a mission and will explain more about the support activities and daily operations that take place at Mission Control throughout a mission. Now retired, and a resident of Wiscasset, Ed worked for 34 years as a subcontractor to NASA in Mission Control at the Johnson Space Center. He was a member of the team which gave the “Go For Launch” of the Space Shuttle.
The Lincoln Home is located at 22 River Road, overlooking the Damariscotta River, in Newcastle. For more information, contact Rhonda Hanna, director of community life, at 563-3350.
