Ben Bulkeley has been hired as a full-time reporter for the Boothbay Register and Wiscasset Newspaper.

Bulkeley is a Cornish, N.H. native and 2008 graduate of the University of New Hampshire’s journalism program. He wrote for the college newspaper and interned at the Portsmouth Herald. From there, he went on to write for the Eagle Times in Claremont, N.H., then to the Craig Daily Press in Craig, Colo.

He lived and worked in Steamboat Springs, Colo., for a year before returning east in September, 2011.

Bulkeley has spent large portions of time in South Bristol and Damariscotta. After three years in Colorado, he is very happy to be back on the coast and covering news in a tightly-knit community.
