Boothbay Region Art Foundation’s newly-installed Members’ Show is now on display at One Townsend Avenue; Boothbay Harbor. In this particular exhibit, our area artists have created artwork that celebrates the local Signs of Spring in a show that celebrates flowers, wildlife, scenery and all the elements of life that surround coastal Maine.

In addition to the regular members’ show, BRAF is sponsoring a special solo-artist-exhibit in the upstairs front room, “Gallery One.”  Catherine Mead-von Huene is presenting a collection of her paintings in oil and acrylic. Her subject matter covers a wide range of topics from animals and people to still life and such unique forms as are found in nature.

Also, in the upstairs “Middle Room,” a special selection of art by BRAF’s Board members is on display. And along the hallway, several of Herb Maynard’s watercolors from Ireland are available for purchase.

Our foundation continues to feature our downstairs “$pecial $ummer $ale on a $winging Door” where donated 12” x 12” canvases, painted by artist/members are hanging out, ready to be purchased.

BRAF’s non-profit mission - to give encouragement, support, a venue and publicity for local artists- has kept us in business for 56 years.
