Ocean Point Studio tour and open house July 6
Ocean Point Studio Visions of Maine will celebrate the beginning of summer by participating in the First Friday Art Tour tomorrow, July 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. and by having an open-house reception and exhibit entitled “Summer in Maine in Paintings and Pottery.”
Corinne McIntyre, a plein air painter, will feature and exhibit her most recent landscape and seascape paintings of the surrounding area. The plein air painting above is a 14-inch-by-11-inch of a private boat that was moored at the Shipbuilders Park last August. It was a pristine day early in the morning; a perfect day to paint. The sky was billowy and blue was the predominate feel. The painting is available in color on her blog, www.corinnemcintyre.blogspot.com.
Fred McIntyre’s beautiful hand-carved pottery will also be featured. Each work is unique and shows his special creativity. His work captures the colours, ruggedness and natural beauty of Maine.
Ocean Point Studio also has both limited and open edition prints available, including giclee print images.
Come and see the new work and enjoy some wine, camaraderie and refreshments at the same time. The studio is at 130 Van Horn Rd. (off Route 96) at Ocean Point, East Boothbay.
