River Arts of Damariscotta presents “Photo Show.” Juried by photographer Rose Marasco, it focuses solely on the art of photography. The exhibition opens Oct. 19 with an opening reception to be  held on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. and is open to the public.

Reflecting the talent of 55 photographers, “Photo Show” has something for everyone. The exhibition includes images that are fanciful, forceful, intimate, and spiritual. There are works full of texture and works full of light. Landscapes, wildlife, portraits, figurative works, still life and abstracts enliven the gallery walls. The “Photo Show” runs through Nov. 20.

River Arts is located at 36 Elm St. in Damariscotta. Open hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Masks are required in the gallery.
