Endorsement letters for political candidates in Wiscasset and Westport Island, as well as letters regarding both towns' other June 9 ballot items, must be submitted by 3 p.m. Friday, May 22. Letters will not be published online after Friday, May 22 and will not be published in print after the Thursday, May 28 edition. 

These dates are due to the Memorial Day holiday May 25 and the newspaper’s policy of not publishing political letters the week preceding the election.
