Potluck supper February 17
Lodge opened at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3 with 15 members present.
The dance featuring the Sweating Bullets band was a huge success with a great turnout. The band, 420, opened for Sweating Bullets and both bands sounded awesome. They would like to thank everyone who showed up to enjoy the music and dancing. The Lodge would like to thank Karen and Garry for their work in the kitchen and Brent Barter for selling the 50/50 raffle tickets.
Cribbage on Sunday had another good turnout with 16 players. Jody took first place, Timmy place second and Ken George was third and had the most 19s. Timmy had high hand and Garry Blackman, who celebrated his birthday (number 57) had the worst record, with all 10 games lost. The Lodge would like to thank Dawn and Robbie for the wonderful food. Cribbage is played every Sunday at noon at the hall. Sign up by 11:45 a.m., please. The public is always welcome.
The Lodge is holding a potluck supper for members and guests on Monday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. followed by a meeting at 7.
A Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament will be held at the hall on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. Please sign up by 5:45 p.m. Cost is $25.
On Saturday, Feb. 22, the Lodge will host a doubles dart tournament and the band, Murky Waters, will perform at a dance from 8 p.m. to midnight. Admission is $10 per person.
It was good to hear that Howie is out of the hospital and home mending.
Happy birthday to James Hanna. He is 86 years young.
It was also good to hear that Reid Hodgdon was weening his cat off the cheese as we think he had a real problem.
The Lodge has another cord of firewood to sell for $300. The wood is cut, dried and ready to burn. Call Brian Barter at 207-380-9332 if interested. Thank you to Brian and Bruce Barter for your work on this fundraiser.
Lodge closed at 7:50 p.m.
