Regina A. Belanger
After a truly inspiring and courageous battle with cancer Regina (Johnson) Belanger, 73, passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 1, 2025.
Before she built a life overflowing with love and beauty she served in the U.S. Navy. Wife to Bill Belanger, 1 of 10 siblings, and an aunt to over 30 nieces and nephews, Regina lived her life rich in creativity, love, strength and grace. A passionate and extraordinarily gifted gardener, designer, cook, and hostess, she made beauty bloom wherever she went. Regina showed such love to her family and friends through her unmatched eye for detail in the beautiful experiences she brought to life.
Times spent with Regina were abundant in beauty and joy; vibrant flowers from her gardens, stunning environments, delicious homemade cuisine, and true warmth and love. Her most recent creations sat against the backdrop of the stunning Maine seaside, a perfect sanctuary for her love of boating and cultivating these moments that made her soul sing. Compassionate and supportive, soulful and cultured, Regina was profoundly adored and admired by those who knew and loved her.
Regina is survived by her husband William Belanger of Boothbay; son Robert Istre and grandaughter Hannah Istre; brothers, Thomas Broyer and Sally King, Bruce Broyer and his wife Terry Broyer, Robert Broyer and wife Terry Broyer, Alan Broyer and wife Cyndi Broyer, Lawrence Broyer and wife Allison Broyer, David Broyer and wife Gina Broyer; sister, Kathleen Tedford and husband, Christopher Tedford.
She was predeceased by her parents William C. Broyer and Ruth Broyer; brother William C. Broyer Jr. and sister Michelle Broyer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
