Saturday flu vaccine clinics
MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital will hold seasonal flu vaccine clinics at its primary care practices beginning Saturday, Sept. 27. The clinics will run through October on select Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Most will be drive-through clinics, allowing patients to receive their vaccinations without leaving their vehicles. The exception is the Waldoboro practice, which will host a walk-in clinic due to space limitations.
This year’s schedule is as follows:
• Damariscotta: Sept. 27, Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25
• Boothbay Harbor: Sept. 27 and Oct. 18
• Wiscasset: Oct. 4 and 25
• Waldoboro: Oct. 11
Flu vaccines are recommended annually for everyone age 6 months and older. Receiving a flu shot helps protect both individuals and the community by reducing the spread of influenza.
The Drive-up Clinic is open to anyone age seven and up. Please bring your insurance card (if you have one) and wear a short-sleeved shirt to make it easier to receive the vaccine.
