Schools closed
A spring snowstorm caused many Lincoln County schools to declare a snow day on Monday, March 21. Nearly all Lincoln County children are affected by the closures.
All AOS 93 schools, which include South Bristol Elementary School, Bristol Consolidated School, Great Salt Bay Community School in Damariscotta, Nobleboro Central School, and Jefferson Village School, are closed.
Lincoln Academy is closed.
The Center for Teaching and Learning is closed, as is Edgecomb Eddy School, both in Edgecomb.
All Boothbay Harbor schools are closed.
Wiscasset public schools are closed, as is the Wiscasset Christian Academy.
Whitefield Elementary School is closed.
Also closed are RSU 40/MSAD 40 schools in Waldoboro, including Medomak Valley High School, Medomak Middle School, and Miller Elementary School, and the Mid-Coast School of Technology in Rockland.
Preschools declaring a snow day by 7 a.m. include Sheepscot Valley Children’s House in Wiscasset, Damariscotta Montessori, Salt Bay Area Head Start in Newcastle, and Friendship Street Head Start in Waldoboro.
According to the National Weather Service, the snowstorm will continue through most of the day, with Lincoln County expecting 4-8 inches of accumulated snow.
