Second annual French and travel-themed auction gala tickets available
Veggies to Table, a non-profit farm that grows and donates top-quality organic produce and joyful flowers to those in need in the community, is excited to announce that tickets are on sale for their second annual French and travel themed Dîner en Blanc, ‘Maine Style’, auction taking place on Sunday, Aug. 10 at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences in East Boothbay. This year’s gala will take place in Bigelow’s fabulous new Harold Alfond Center for Ocean Education and Innovation.
This year Veggies to Table has been hard at work to bring another unique selection of French and travel themed auction items to bid on at their biggest event of the season. There will be a plethora of French food including sweet and savory crepes, Alain’s famous macarons, quiches, cakes and pastries, along with French cheese, charcuterie, and other delicacies. The open bar will be stocked with French champagne, wine, craft beer, and the opportunity to support increasing numbers of local people living with hunger.
Last year the sold-out event raised $187,695—this year the stakes are higher as hunger is on the rise.
To thank their supporters, Veggies to Table is excited to offer a special early bird rate through July 5. Just reserve your spot here: https://bit.ly/V2T-Auction25 and use code: EARLYBIRD to get your tickets for this amazing event for $100 a person (full cost $125)—while supplies last!
Tickets include a live and silent auction, open bar, oysters, French food and cakes, and an incredible roster of prizes to bid on. The event will not only be festive and fun but will bring in the community to help create new friends and connections while rallying around the serious issue of ending local hunger.
Prizes include trips to Paris, Provence, Italy, Florida, and Mexico. For those who prefer a staycation, or for whom Maine is not home, there are stays at Seguin Tree Dwellings, Otyokwa, Moss House, the Tipsy Butler, and the Topside Inn, to name a few.
There is something for everyone—from a private dinner on the farm with Veggies to Table’s founders Erica Berman and Alain Ollier, French macaron classes, wine pairings and a private chef dinner, magnums of champagne, mushroom walks, sunset yacht sails, saunas, handmade jewelry, original art, a le Creuset, gift cards to Bred in the Bone, and Mistral in Boston, tickets to the Boston Ballet and the Boston Children’s choir, and more.
There will be tickets to Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan and Sheryl Crow on Sept. 5 in Bangor and Yo-Yo Ma at the Portland Symphony Orchestra on Oct. 20 and more great items on the way!
Veggies to Table is thrilled and grateful for the continued partnership and deeper connections in the community. They are offering numerous sponsor and host options for the event. Join the many local businesses and partners including Rising Tide, Knickerbocker Group, Flick the Tick, Riverside Butcher, Simmons Seafood, and Midcoast Federal Credit Union, in sponsoring the event or buying one of the select host tables. Veggies to Table is especially proud to announce their $20,000 sponsorship from the St. Columba’s Episcopal church from the bequest of Marjorie M. Winslow. It truly takes a village!
