Short-term rental workshop May 8
Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission is presenting a workshop about short-term rentals on Tuesday, May 8 at 6 p.m. at the LCRPC’s office in Wiscasset.
The workshop will feature Attorney Aga Dixon, with Drummond Woodsum and a former land use planner for the Maine Land Use Planning Commission, John Root, City of Rockland code enforcement officer, and Cottage Connections of Boothbay Harbor. This will be an informative session for town officials, planning boards, selectmen, and code enforcement staff, covering a brief history and background on short-term rentals, varying regulatory approaches, a first-hand account of Rockland’s experiences, and the economic impact of short-term rentals.
