Six residents have taken out nomination papers for two seats on the Wiscasset select board but little interest has been shown for other offices to be voted on June 13. The deadline for returning nomination papers is 5 p.m., Monday, May 1.

Town Clerk Linda Perry told the Wiscasset Newspaper as of April 17 no one had taken out papers for a three-year seat on the school board, two three-year seats on the water district, or for any of the eight budget committee vacancies. Nomination papers are available at the town office during business hours. They must contain at least 25 but no more than 100 signatures of registered Wiscasset voters.
