Still firewood available
The Lodge opened at 7:02 p.m. with a respectful 14 members present.
Our Sunday cribbage tournament went well with 16 players present. First place went to me, Scott Greenleaf, winning 9 of 10 games, Bill Rogers was second place with 8 wins and 2 losses. We all had a great time and it was good to see some new faces in the competition. Remember we play every Sunday at 12 p.m. The public is very welcome.
We are getting cable TV back so we can watch any sporting events on our big screen during such events as cribbage.
We still have another cord of dry, cut split hard firewood for sale at $300. First come, first served (for those with cash in hand). Call Brian Barter at 207-380-9332. We would like to thanks all you guys who helped make the wood sale happen, especially Martin Page for donating the wood.
Sweating Bullets is holding a dance on Saturday, Feb. 1. It’s $10 per person. A new group from the area will play from 8-9 p.m. Show up at the Lodge you will more than likely recognize those band members previous area bands. Blaine Blackman and Sweating Bullets will perform from 9 p.m. to midnight. BYOB.
This month is a busy month for birthdays. I (Scott) had one on January 6. Reid Hodgdon had his 70th on January 26, Blaine Blackman had his on January 27 and Jimmy Hannah is 87 on February 4, so happy birthday to everyone. Thank you for the birthday cake, Karen Blackman. It was excellent. It was very good to see Duane Lewis this week at our Lodge meeting.
Remember, Lodge members, we meet every Monday at 7 p.m. We would like to say a big get well soon to Howie Barter as he is in Maine Medical again.
Thank you again, Travis, for your continued help and support. It would be hard to succeed without you.
We adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
