Summer Concerts on Wiscasset Pier
For the next five Thursday evenings the Wiscasset Chamber of Commerce, with the community center, town waterfront committee and local businesses, invite people from miles around to free concerts on the Main Street Pier.
The weekly event is called “Alive on the River.” Folks will be entertained with a variety of music, including rock, jazz, country and Caribbean and Blues bands, beginning at 6 p.m.
“Alive on the River” concerts began on July 4 with The Generics rock band, sponsored by the Wiscasset Chamber of Commerce and the Community Center. The July 12 concert, sponsored by Ames Supply, was the Kevin Gilmore country band.
Coming up Thursday, July 19, will be Route 1 classic rock blues band, sponsored by Newkirk Inn and Sarah’s Café.
The summer concert schedule will include:
July 26, The Scott Davis jazz band, sponsored by In the Clover
August 2, Max Ater acoustic rock band, sponsored by Sprague’s Lobster and Big Al
August 9, Pan Fried Steel Caribbean band sponsored by The First
August 16, The Generics rock band, sponsored by Possibilities and Reds Eats.
