Upcoming CLC YMCA events

Announcing upcoming Central Lincoln County YMCA events that you won’t want to miss, so be sure to mark your calendar.

Friday Night Triples on Jan. 18 from 5:30-7 p.m.: accepting food donations in support of Lincoln Academy Cubbies.

Farm-to-Table Community Lunch on Jan. 29: the CLC YMCA’s Farm-to-Table Community Lunch will take place on Jan. 29 at noon and will have an international theme in honor of the holiday. International students will be present to help prepare the meal. Community members are invited to participate in the Cook & Dine option ($5) from 11am-1pm to learn how to prepare traditional Chinese dumplings and mixed dishes while helping to cook the meal for the lunch. All community members are also welcome to participate in the Dine Only option ($10) from 12-1pm.

Tennis Without Borders on Feb. 10 from 12:30-2 p.m.: The Bowdoin women’s tennis team and the CLC tennis community come together to support our friends in Cameroon, Africa. The event is free, but donations are gratefully accepted and provide equipment, instruction and hope to the children of Cameroon.

“Have a Heart” Fill the Y Bus Food Drive on Feb. 12 from 1-6 p.m.: Join the YMCA, in partnership with Hannaford of Damariscotta, while we fill the Y bus in support of local school programs and food pantries. To volunteer, contact Karen-Ann Hagar khagar@clcymca.org

13th annual “120” Tennis Tournament on Feb. 15 from 5-8 p.m.: A mixed doubles tournament where the combined ages of the team must be at least 120 years of age. Two divisions: 7.0 and above and 6.5 and below. Need a partner? We’ll find one for you. $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.

Parents Night Out on Feb. 15 from 5-8 p.m.: Enjoy some free time while your children have Friday fun with friends, supervised by Y staff. Activities range from arts & crafts, games, and movies to cooking and free time. Dinner provided. For youth ages 4-12. Register by Feb. 13 to save your spot. New, reduced rate of just $10/first child and $5 for each additional sibling.

5th annual Stepping Stones Tennis Tournament on March 2 from noon-4 p.m.: Serving to present homelessness. Donation $20. To register, contact Liliana Thelander at 563-6029.

3rd annual Over the Bay Soiree on June 21: hosted by Lurie Sprague-Palino and Paul Palino at beautiful Sprague Point, those in attendance will enjoy an evening of music, dancing, local cuisine, complimentary beverages, and fireworks! Proceeds support the Y’s Annual Campaign.
