Virginia Forrest ArtWalk artist
Stop by The Lincoln Home during the Twin Villages ARTWALK, Friday, July 21, from 4-7 p.m. and meet special guest artist, Virgina Forrest from Wiscasset. A painter working in watercolor, gouache, acrylics and oil, her favorite subjects are Maine coastal scenes, boats and landscapes, and her passion is for summer gardens.
Minoring in painting in college, Mrs. Forrest continued her passion through private study, workshops and lessons. She has worked with a wide range of Maine artists including; Lillian Hale, John Lorence, Jan Kilburn, Monique Parry, Sandra Dunn, Abby Williams, Dan Cory and Julie Babb. All of these fine artists have contributed to her technique and personal style.
Virginia volunteers at and supports the Boothbay Region Art Foundation, the River Arts Gallery and the reorganization of the Maine Art Gallery in Wiscasset. A portion of sales of Virginia’s art benefits our Residents’ Assistance Fund.
