Dear Editor:

Will Neilson will represent our district as state representative in Augusta with distinction. He has had many opportunities to be in leadership positions in his hometown of Arrowsic and in the Greater Bath community.

Will attends the same church as I do in Bath. He wears and has worn many hats in the years since I first made his acquaintance. Most recently, he accepted the difficult and time consuming position of chairing a committee of nine parishioners with various viewpoints. The committee was chosen to discern and choose two finalists to recommend as our new rector. He also communicated what was happening at every step of the process to the parish.

Will demonstrates the abilities to communicate clearly, to mediate when necessary, bring about consensus, stay on task, in this case weekly meetings for eighteen months, and see things through to a successful conclusion, all attributes of someone we need in our representative in Augusta.

Will is an attorney and is the owner of the very successful Solo Bistro Restaurant in Bath. He is a Rotarian and a member of Main Street Bath. I know that Will is a committed person who will make us proud as our next state representative.
