"RT 27 SOUTH"(by Peter Southwick) - Free - One show only: Sunday, Sept. 21, 6 p.m. - Join us for an exclusive big-screen presentation of Peter Southwick’s Rt 27 South, a black-and-white video series profiling Boothbay area residents. Originally created in 2014–2015 while Southwick, a longtime photojournalist and Boston University professor, was on sabbatical, the series features intimate portraits of 18 locals—including Bet Finocchiaro, I.J. Pinkham, Danny Beal, June Elderkin, and more. Compiled for the screen by Harbor Theater’s Technical Director Robert Jordan, this one-time event celebrates the people and stories that make our community unique. 

"Freakier Friday" - (PG; 1 hour, 51 minutes) - In this all-new sequel to the beloved body-swap comedies, the chaos gets turned up a notch when multiple generations of the Coleman family suddenly find themselves walking in each other’s shoes—literally. When Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Anna (Lindsay Lohan) reunite for a family celebration, a mysterious twist of fate causes not only mother and daughter to switch bodies again, but also brings Anna’s teenage daughter and Tess’s free-spirited mother into the mix. With four women juggling swapped identities, careers, romances, and high school drama, the result is a hilariously unpredictable chain of misunderstandings and heartfelt discoveries. Harbor Theater is open daily through Oct. 1 with 2 p.m. matinees on Wednesday (OCAP – Open Caption Screening) and Sunday (regular screening). Shows nightly at 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for children under 18. Member prices are $8 for adults and $6 for children under 18.
