This week at the Harbor Theater
"Practical Magic 2" - (PG13; 2 hours, 10 minutes) - Nearly three decades after the Owens sisters first cast their spell on audiences, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return as Sally and Gillian Owens. Back in a world steeped in moonlit mischief, sisterhood, and powerful ancestral magic, the Owens family must confront a dark curse that threatens to unravel their family once and for all. As old secrets resurface and generations of Owens women come together, Sally and Gillian discover that breaking the past’s hold may require more magic—and more trust in one another—than ever before. Filled with romance, humor, supernatural mayhem, and the irresistible witchy charm that made the 1998 original a beloved cult classic, "Practical Magic 2" invites longtime fans and a new generation back into the Owens family for another enchanting story about love, family, and the magic that binds us together. Final screenings: Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2 p.m. (OCAP) and Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.
"...the midnight margaritas are still flowing, and Bullock and Kidman haven’t lost their touch yet." – Katie Walsh, Tribune News

As King Richard II and the oligarchs impose a brutal tax on the poorest members of society, a farmer's simmering discontent erupts into full-blown anger. Within days, he leads a ferocious rebellion as thousands of commoners march on London in the name of justice and freedom. “It’s dark, violent, and unsettling – and really resonates today. Andrew Garfield is always great but he really shines here. A truly great story that leaves much to think about regarding politics, faith, and human behavior.” – Paul Salfen, AMFM Magazine
