“The Grand Budapest Hotel” is a comedy-drama which tells the story of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. This fictional adventure involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting, the battle for an enormous family fortune, and the concierge who, with the help of his trusted lobby boy, attempts to prove his innocence after being framed for murder.
Directed by Wes Anderson, the film features an all-star cast including Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Edward Norton, Mathieu Amalric, Saoirse Ronan, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Léa Seydoux, Jeff Goldblum, Jason Schwartzman, Jude Law, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and Tony Revolori.
“The Grand Budapest Hotel” is rated R and plays Wednesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 15 at 7 p.m.
New on the silver screen
“Heaven Is For Real” tells the true story of a small-town father who must find the courage and conviction to share his son's extraordinary, life-changing experience with the world.
Based on the 2010 #1 New York Times best-selling book, the film stars Academy Award nominee and Emmy award winning actor Greg Kinnear as Todd Burpo and co-stars Kelly Reilly as Sonja Burpo, the real-life couple whose son Colton (newcomer Connor Corum) claims to have visited Heaven during a near death experience.
Colton recounts the details of his amazing journey with childlike innocence and speaks matter-of-factly about things that happened before his birth — things he couldn't possibly know. Todd and his family are then challenged to examine the meaning from this remarkable event.
“Heaven Is For Real” is rated PG and plays Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17 at 7 p.m. with a Sunday, May 18 matinee at 3 p.m.
