"Music Unearthed" - Salt Bay Chamberfest (SBC) Summer Concert Series - The 32nd season explores how generations of Americans have used music to express their multifaceted heritage and feelings about home, self, and cultural identity. Four main concerts that riff on “Unearthed” include: “Found,” rediscovering forgotten European masterworks; “Earth and Sky,” capturing birdsong and the spirituality of the skies; “Created,” exploring creativity in a new work for Sandbox Percussion with composer and steel pannist Andy Akiho; and “Uprooted,” featuring a new composition by composer/cellist Karen Ouzounian on the significance of old music in a new world. The final festival concert will be held at Lincoln Theater Fri Aug 14. All four concerts begin at 7:30pm with a pre-concert lecture beginning at 6:30pm. More information is available online.

"Disclosure Day" - (PG-13, 2 hours, 25 minutes) - If you found out we weren't alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people. We are coming close to... Disclosure Day. Final showing Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7:15 p/m. Presented in partnership with King Eider's Pub.

Y Arts presents "Shrek the Musical JR" - (approx. 1 hour) - Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Live on stage, Thursday, Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. Tickets: $10 general admission.

"CatVideoFest 2026" - (NR; 1 hour, 10 minutes) - Because watching funny cat videos is good for you! Come laugh with your friends and neighbors as Oscilloscope Laboratories presents CatVideoFest 2026, a compilation of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses. Each year, across the country, local theaters partner with nearby cat-focused charities, animal welfare associations and shelters alike — 10% of ticket proceeds from every show goes directly to local cats in need. Lincoln Theater's support is going to Midcoast Humane, Edgecomb. Playing Saturday, Aug. 15 at 2 and 7 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 2 and 7 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 20 at 2 p.m.

Salt Bay Chamberfest - Jennifer Koh Bach Marathon - Join us for this tour de force event when Grammy winner and SBC favorite Jennifer Koh performs all of J.S. Bach’s complete works for solo violin in one afternoon. Coffee and donuts will be provided during two intermissions. Program (order subject to change): Johann Sebastian Bach - Sonata No. 1 in G minor for Solo Violin, BWV 1001, Partita No. 1 in B minor for Solo Violin, BWV 1002, Sonata No. 2 in A minor for Solo Violin, BWV 1003, Partita No. 2 in D minor for Solo Violin, BWV 1004, Sonata No. 3 in C major for Solo Violin, BWV 1005, Partita No. 3 in E major for Solo Violin, BWV 1006. "Women Laughing" - Join Liza Donnelly and Heather Cox Richardson for a film screening and discussion! In Women Laughing, longtime New Yorker cartoonist Liza Donnelly sets out to explore her lifelong passion for women’s humor and cartooning by speaking, laughing, and drawing with a diverse group of remarkable women who create cartoons for the iconic magazine. Inspired by her acclaimed book Very Funny Ladies and Liza’s own biography, the film looks at how far women have come in a field historically dominated by men. Thursday, Aug. 20 at 7 p/m. Tickets: $25 adult, $20 LT member, and $5 youth. All ticket sales go to support Lincoln Theater’s 150th Fundraising Campaign!
