Welcome, spring
Tue, 03/21/2017 - 6:30am
A mild, breezy Monday ushered in spring on the Wiscasset waterfront. Day one found Pittston’s Matt Pelletier and Wiscasset’s John Sutter on the Sheepscot River test-driving Pelletier’s newly worked on, 17-foot motor boat, Fish-On.
The trip went well, Pelletier said. He takes the boat worm-digging and planned to dig on Tuesday.
He dug in January and February. Digging pays his bills, he said. Sutter said he digs worms, as well.
As Fish-On was returning to shore, Carol Tsao and her Tibetan terrier Soba, named for a noodle Tsao likes, were nearby, taking a walk in the late-day shadows and sun. They moved to town last August.
