The weather is looking great for the 20th Annual Westport Island Shore Run 10K Road Race taking place this year on Sunday, Aug. 17 on bridge-accessible Westport Island, Maine. The forecast is for clear skies and temperature in the high 60's - perfect running weather for "Maine's Best Little 10K Road Race!"

We had a great turnout for the run in 2024 with over 50 runners and more than 10 participants in the "fun walk."  

The 20th anniversary running of the race will again benefit the Westport Island Volunteer Fire Department, whose members direct traffic and provide logistical and medical support at the race. Over the past 19 years, the race has raised over $35,000 for the Westport Island firefighters!  This year, it is also the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Westport Island Volunteer Fire Department.
