Dear Editor:

I see that the Wiscasset school board will be presenting a proposal that reduces the school budget by approximately 150k.

Are these things being considered:

High school enrollment is less than 200, including over 30 students rom other towns.

What is the student (subtracting the school choice into Wiscasset) to school employee ratio?

What ratio is acceptable to keep the schools open?

You know there was extra educational money in the defeated budget, $7M.

Just a question. I want to project my taxes on how quickly Wiscasset becomes an extremely unaffordable town. 

What do you think? What is your pain point before Wiscasset is not a viable location to live?
