Wiscasset Fire Chief T.J. Merry said the petition seeking a town vote on firefighters washing their personal vehicles at the fire station was turned in at the town office Thursday morning, Sept. 15 with 228 signatures.

Merry said firefighters are seeking a Nov. 8 vote at the polls.
