The annual Wiscasset High School Alumni banquet will be Saturday, May 31 at the Wiscasset High School Gymnasium. Social time is at 5 p.m. and the dinner and program is at 6 p.m. Ship’s Chow Hall of Wiscasset will serve the buffet dinner.

This year will be 113th year of this annual alumni banquet. Wiscasset is one of the oldest active alumni associations in the state.

The association invites any Wiscasset graduate, GED recipient or graduate of another high school, who attended Wiscasset High School or Wiscasset Academy for at least two years to join the alumni association. Dues are $5 per year. If you have not paid dues in more than two years you can pay just $10 and be in good standing. Dinner is $18 by advance reservation only.

Come and enjoy seeing your classmates, the graduates of this year and all previous classes of Wiscasset High School. Alumni historians do historical displays. School administrators, officers of the alumni association, the graduating class president and current visiting AFS students make speeches. Scholarships are given and a roll call of all classes in attendance is done with short stories from representatives of the 25- and 50-year classes. Multi-generation graduates with graduating seniors are recognized.

Scholarship funds are extremely strained due to low interest rates during the past few years. The executive committee is encouraging everyone to consider donating to one of the funds.

All graduates and their guests are welcome and will be greeted with a smile at the door. As was the case last year, all members are allowed to bring a spouse or guest for the cost of the second meal. Please come and support this association. Come early and help identify some of the graduates in the photos and visit with friends.
