In separate responses Feb. 29, all three selectmen whose current terms are ending – James Andretta, William “Bill” Maloney and Sarah Whitfield – said they plan to seek re-election.

 

The selectboard seats coming up for election are all for two-year terms, according to wiscasset.org

 

Also being decided June 11 are two three-year terms on the school committee; a two-year term and a three year-term on the water district board of trustees; and six budget committee seats — two one-year ones, a two-year one and three, three-year ones.

 

Nomination papers are available at the town office. “Candidates will need to collect at least 25 but not more than 100 registered voters’ signatures and return the papers to the town office by 5 p.m. April 11, 2024.
