Wiscasset starts school

    Besides being Wiscasset’s first school day with all students attending daily again, for two new Wiscasset girls, Tuesday was also their first day learning in Wiscasset schools.

    They moved here from Livermore, mother Elizabeth Freeman explained. Around 7:30 a.m., she and her Wiscasset Elementary School fifth grader Haley Dumais, 10, and Wiscasset Middle High School seventh grader Lily Dumais, 12, were in the WES lot and all wearing face masks. The sisters attended school fully remotely last school year, Freeman said. 

    How were they feeling about being at school? “Very excited,” Lily Dumais said. Freeman said she was, too.
