The Woolwich Select Board is looking for some civic-minded citizens who would like to serve their community by volunteering for a committee or board.

Most seats are for three-year terms on panels that meet once a month or less. Vacancies are available for the following:

Agricultural/Forest Resources Committee, three seats; Board of Appeals, two), Cemetery Committee, two; Conservation Commission, three;Monument Committee, two;Public Communications Committee, two alternates; Road Committee, two seats; Shellfish Conservation Committee, two seats; and the Solid Waste & Recycling Committee, one seat.

Applications for appointment by the select board can be picked up at the town office or be obtained by emailing townclerk@woolwich.us.

The town office on Nequasset Road is open Monday and Tuesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  The phone number is 442-8723.
