An executive session on personnel matters following the open session of the April 24 Wiscasset Select Board meeting was accidentally taped and was briefly online on the town’s YouTube platform, Town Manager Marian Anderson confirmed Monday.

The town was notified the executive session was live, and a call was placed to the IT company that handles the uploading, according to Anderson. The company was unable to cut the executive session part of the video off from the rest of the video, so it took down the entire video, she said. The meeting video remains unavailable for viewing.

Anderson said she has heard other towns have had similar issues with meeting videos followed by executive sessions. “We took it down as soon as we heard that it was there."
