Get your GED now
If you left school early and never completed high school, or have started GED testing but have not completed all five tests, now is the time to get your GED. The General Educational Development Test (GED) is changing beginning in January 2014. Anyone who has not completed the current five subject tests that comprise the GED by December 2013 will need to start over.
The new GED exam will be much more difficult to pass, and can only be taken on a computer – not pencil and paper like the current test.
We encourage everyone who has taken and passed some of the five GED Tests to finish testing before December so you don’t have to begin all over again.
A GED diploma opens doors to better jobs, a new career, and attending college or other post secondary education. Anyone who is age 17 or older and not attending high school is eligible to take the GED test.
The Learning Center at Boothbay Region Adult Ed is available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:15-8:15 p.m. and provides individualized instruction in preparation for the GED exam.
