The trial of Shawna Gatto, 43, of Wiscasset, alleged murderer of Kendall Chick, 4, of Wiscasset, has been continued to April 1, 2, 3 and 5, at the Capital Judicial Center in Augusta, the county courthouse for Kennebec County.

Gatto had sought a continuance because a potential expert witness could not appear at the January and February dates, and was not finished with a report the defense team requested. The state opposed the motion. Justice William Stokes approved the continuance, and the new trial date was set.
