The Maine State Aquarium in West Boothbay Harbor has reopened after a malfunction of the display tanks’ filtration system forced its closure on Aug. 29.

Aquarium manager Elaine Jones said Monday that the Aquarium will be open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Sunday, Sept. 29 when it will close for the season.
