A walk to benefit Jameson
Jameson Brooks was four months when he was diagnosed with brain and spinal cancer. After 18 months of chemotherapy, Jameson relapsed in August and continues chemotherapy at Maine's Childrens Cancer Clinic in Scarborough.
The Maine Children's Cancer Program will be having a walk to benefit children like Jameson on September 21.
His parents, Kristen and Justin Brooks of Boothbay, started a Facebook page called “Jameson's Journey” and they plan to walk for their son on September 21.
All the proceeds will benefit the Maine Children's Cancer Program.
Jameson is currently two years old and is a “very happy, outgoing people person,” said his mother, Kristen Brooks.
She said the community support has been very good and that she is looking forward to Saturday's walk.
Jameson's walk starts at 9 a.m. along the Brunswick/Topsham bike path. Participants walking for team “Jameson's Journey” will receive a T-shirt.
Anyone who wants to help the cause can register and donate at www.mccp.kintera.org/walk/jamesonsjourney.
