It's finally here — Early Bird in Boothbay Harbor.

The event starts as early as 5 a.m. at Christmas Magic (70 percent off) and East Boothbay General Store (40 percent off gift items), though most stores are opening at 6 a.m. Discounts decrease as the day goes on, so make sure to plan your day around them; see the Early Bird page to check out all the ads.

Many stores will have door prize drawings, so be sure and sign up at all the stores you shop in.

After the pajama contest at 10 a.m., be sure to watch the bed race where Janson’s Clothing, the Opera House, McSeagull’s and Good 'N You will compete for the win.

Stop by early because some of the teams are still in need of runners and are requesting that volunteers help push their team to victory.

Also be sure to stop by the library lawn to see Mike and Gary from the Register, grab a cup of Gary & Mike’s “World Famous Coffee” and chat about the deals you’ve found.
