A Paint Your Pet party will be held at St. Philip's Church, 12 Hodge St. in Wiscasset on Friday, Nov. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Join Feed Our Scholars for a fun night out to create a custom painted portrait of your pet, or a beloved pet of yore, or even a family or friend’s pet for a holiday gift. 

That night we'll be led by Liz Murphy from Ello Sunshine Handmade Creations and Events. Under her cheery guidance participants will find their own artistic techniques for honoring their subjects.

Tickets are $35, and all profits from the evening will go to support weekend bags of food for Wiscaset students living in food insecure households and for purchasing school supplies for the annual Set For Success event held each August.

Liz will need a photo of your pet to transfer to a custom canvas just for you. Send a hard copy to St. Philip’s Church as part of your registration, or email it to feedourscholars@gmail.com by Nov. 8. Ello Sunshine will provide all supplies and instruction. 

Signing up by Nov. 8 is important, as well as sending the photo of what is to be painted to Feed Our Scholars, 12 Hodge Street, Wiscasset, ME 04578.  Send a check ahead of time, or bring cash or check to the event, but the reservation and the photo must be to Feed Our Scholars by Friday, Nov. 8. 

To sharpen flagging artistic energy, participants can take a break for dessert, choose any and all: cheesecake, cookies, bars, and fruits, with coffee, tea, and water, then it’s on to finishing up your masterpiece of the beloved furball. Hope to see you there!
