Midcoast Senior College rolls out summer wisdom
Midcoast Senior College invites you to explore our Summer Wisdom 2025 through a series of five presentations.
The June 3 presentation by Don Carrigan will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Brunswick. All other sessions are held at Curtis Memorial Library’s Morrell Meeting Room. Summer Wisdom occurs on five consecutive Tuesdays at 1 p.m. beginning May 6. Come join us for this informative and free lecture series! This program is first-come, first-seated. We will begin seating at 12:45 and close the room when we reach capacity.
May 6 Everything is Better with Chocolate–Tom Wilbur. A Master Candy Maker shares the history and passion behind starting and operating a popular local business.
May 13 Caregiving is Coming for All of Us–Rani Snyder. Supporting Family Caregivers: The resources and other supports available when caring for elders.
May 20 250th Anniversary of Benedict Arnold Expedition–Robert Stevens. In 1775, 1,100 soldiers faced the wilderness of Maine in Arnold’s expedition to take Quebec City.
May 27 Ecological Disturbance and Succession in Forests of Midcoast Maine–Cheryl Swift. Ecological disturbance in the forests of Midcoast Maine; the positive and the negative.
June 3 25 Years of Maine Politics–Don Carrigan. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Midcoast Senior College, long-time broadcast journalist Don Carrigan of News Center Maine (Channel 6, WCSH) will reflect on his 50+ years in radio and television, especially the personalities and facets of Maine’s political scene over the past 25 years.
