Winter 2014
Weather advisory lifted for Lincoln County
Tue, 01/21/2014 - 10:30pm
A winter weather advisory levied for Lincoln County early in the evening January 21 was lifted before 10 p.m., a meteorologist said.
“The storm is traveling further south than we thought it would,” said meteorologist Michael Cempa of the National Weather Service’s Gray office.
As a result, the Boothbay peninsula is likely to get at most an inch or two of snow, and the county’s northern towns, even less, Cempa said.
Any snow should move in around midnight, peak early Wednesday, Jan. 22, and clear out by midday Wednesday, Cempa said.
