This week at The Harbor Theatre
Set during World War II, “A Farewell To Fools” takes place somewhere in Romania. A German soldier is found dead near a village, and the local authorities must identify the murderer or they will all be shot by Nazis the following morning. There's no way to identify the guilty party, but there is Ipu (Gérard Depardieu), the madman of the village, who the town leaders, led by Father Johanis (Harvey Keitel), pressure to claim responsibility for the soldier's death and die to save their skins.
The darker sides of human nature are revealed in this black comedy; and as the deadline approaches, the characters (and audiences) wonder who, in fact, is the actual fool?
“Farewell To Fools” (PG-13), stars Gerard Depardieu (Academy Award nominee, Golden Globe winner, EMMY nominee, two-time winner and 16-time nominee of the Cesar Award, “Life of Pi,” “Cyrano de Bergerac,” “The Man in the Iron Mask”), and Harvey Keitel (Academy Award nominee, Golden Globe nominee, Independent Spirit Award winner; “Bugsy,” “The Piano,” “Bad Lieutenant,” “Reservoir Dogs.”

“Non-Stop” rated PG-13
“Non-Stop” is a suspense thriller played out aboard a jetliner at 40,000 feet. The race is on to identify the saboteur and foil the attack. L.A. Biz describes “Non-Stop” as “ “'Die Hard' on a plane ... thrilling action set pieces in close confines.” The film also stars Golden Globe winner Julianne Moore with Scoot McNairy, Michelle Dockery, Nate Parker, Jason Butler Harner, Anson Mount and Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o (“12 Years A Slave”).
