Vintage sports car rally check point set for Boothbay Railway Village
Just days before the Boothbay Railway Museum opens for the season, a special visit on Thursday, May 22, by the New England 1000 Rally will provide an opportunity to view 40 or more pre-1975 sports, racing and GT models and any model year exotic cars on the Village Green (weather permitting).
The first vehicles will arrive at the museum around 10 a.m. and the last will depart by 11:30 a.m. for their next destination. The best viewing is expected to be between 10:30 and 11 a.m.
The public is invited to come to see these unique cars while the staff and volunteers of the Village treat their owners to private tours of the Museum’s own collection of more than 60 antique automobiles, a steam train ride and an opportunity to explore the other Village exhibits before jumping back into the driver’s seat.
The Boothbay Railway Village is located at 586 Wiscasset Road, Route 27 in Boothbay.
