Next Business After Hours at Alna railway museum
The Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum is hosting the Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce’s next Business After Hours event on from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at 97 Cross Road in Alna.
Steve Zuppa will be firing up one of the trains for a tour May 22 of Alna by rail. The train will leave at 5:45 p.m., but don’t worry, there are both open and enclosed coach cars, so regardless of the weather, the ride will go on.
The Ford Model T railcar will also be running that night and the museum and shop will be open.
A delicious assortment of food and beverages will be provided. Be sure to bring those business cards. There will be door prizes, one of which will include future train ride tickets.
The Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 1989 to acquire, preserve and restore the operation of narrow gauge railroads and equipment which operated in the Sheepscot Valley and on other roads.
Additionally, it has established a museum for the display of artifacts for enlightenment and education of the general public concerning the social and economic impact of railroads on the communities served.
