Wiscasset Public Library
Lupines at Storytime
Mon, 06/16/2014 - 7:00am
Our last Storytime was enjoyed outdoors with warm, sunny weather. We sat in a circle next to the library’s beautiful lupine flowers and read Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney. When the story was finished, everyone discussed how wonderful it is to see patches of blue, purple and rose colored lupine all over Maine. “It does make the world more beautiful like it says in the book,” said Grace Segerstrom.
Back indoors, we used cardstock and finger-paint to replicate the lupines from outside the library’s window. Everyone created such great works of art and took them home to enjoy over the summer.
Don’t forget, registration for the Summer Reading Program “FIZZ, BOOM, READ” begins on June 18. All are welcome.
