We had a large turnout for Ed Polewarczyk’s Space Alliance presentation, and everyone had a blast.
Vibrant photos and profound background music with his presentation captivated the audience both young and old. We learned actual information on how long it takes to get suited up and ready for take off from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Ed also had many personal photos of astronauts showing how they slept, ate, exercised and even did housecleaning in space. Do you know the only way to tell the difference between two astronauts on a mission? Each white suit has a different patterned red stripe on their legs.
What a great prelude to our FIZZ, BOOM, READ Summer Reading Program finale on Friday, Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. Come enjoy the hour long star show by Northern Star’s traveling planetarium at the Wiscasset Community Center to celebrate the completion of this year’s Summer Reading Program!
