We were back outside for another story hour enjoying the lovely fall weather! What more fitting of a topic to read about outdoors than falling leaves? “Leaf Man” by Lois Ehlert and “Fall Leaves Fall” by Zoe Hall were read while everyone relaxed on the lawn and spied out our own fall leaves beginning to collect. These two stories explored different shapes of leaves and how to create figures using leaves like fish, garden vegetables and even a leaf man. The children also discussed their anticipation of gathering leaves into large piles for jumping in.

Back inside the library, we got creative with some orange construction paper cut-outs of leaves and made a sunny window decoration with tissue paper and glue.

Story Time takes place each Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and all are welcome to enjoy great books and activities that follow.
