Wiscasset church seeks community input
The First Congregational Church of Wiscasset is asking for help from local organizations, businesses and individuals in its quest for a new minister.
A questionnaire has been created to assist in developing a church profile describing the church and surrounding area for prospective pastors.
The questionnaires will be sent to local organizations, businesses and individuals, and can be filled out in hard copy form or online at the following link: http://bit.ly/firstcongo.
Hard copy versions of the questionnaire can be mailed back to the church office at P.O. Box 350, Wiscasset, ME 04578, or simply dropped off at the church. If you do not receive a questionnaire but would like to fill one out, you can pick one up at the church office at 28 High Street (on the town common). We hope to finish collecting responses by March 15.
The church’s search committee hopes that the questionnaire will provide information about support received from the church, the use of the church facilities, needs that the church may be able to fill, and other comments relative to the profile.
The church is currently served by interim minister Susan Craig. John Potter, who had been pastor at First Congo for 11 years, retired last November.
