Wiscasset School Committee member Eugene Stover and Vice Chairman Glen Craig have both decided to seek second terms. Stover and Craig confirmed in separate telephone interviews Friday that they will run for reelection this spring. Their terms that began in January 2014 run out in June.

Staying on would bring continuity to the committee that has been accomplishing good things, Craig said. “Why rock the boat?”

Stover had planned to serve a single term; he sought and got one of the shorter ones on the committee when Wiscasset voters elected the first members last year.  But he recently began hearing from residents encouraging him to run again, and he has decided that he will, he said.

Nomination papers were set to be available at the municipal building starting Monday, March 16. The filing deadline is April 27, Town Clerk Christine Wolfe has said.
